HOW TO INSTALL AND PLAY ONLINE (tested):
1) Download and install the game (SKIDROW version)
2) Download Crash Course and extract files... run L4DUP_1.0.1.5R4.exe and install CC into L4D folder. You do not need any previous patches.
3) Run L4DSP_1.23.3.exe and install into L4D folder too. Your Left 4 Dead is now fully working.
4) To play the game online, I recommend to download Garena at http://www.garena.com/
5) In Garena, select L4D in the left side, choose a room and when you are in the chat room, click Settings button (right bottom corner under chat window).
6) In the Settings window, select L4D. Click Browse and find your left4dead.exe file.
7) Type this into the second field:

+sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 +sv_lan 1
8) Save and run the game (Start game under chat)
9) In the game, open console (you will probably have to enable it in settings) using ~ (under Esc). If you want to create a game, type:

map [map_name]
10) If you want to connect to existing game, open console and type connect [ip_adress], for example:

connect 192.168.29.11
You must know host's IP adress to be able to connect to his game.
